On Monday, December 5th at 12:30AM Pacific Time (7:30 AM GMT) a new Windows plugin will be required for all Fuze users.  Users with Java enabled will automatically receive the new plugin when joining via VoIP or starting Screen Share.  Users without java will be required to install the update using the manual installer.  You can can download the manual installer directly on Monday morning by going here:  https://www.fuzemeeting.com/downloads/Fuze_Meeting.msi

Change List:

Echo Cancellation > Drastically improves echo cancellation for Windows users. You can now use Fuze Meeting with a microphone and speakers if desired (like a speakerphone), or built in mic/speakers on a laptop.Note:  Mac hosts and attendees should continue to use headsets until a corresponding update is available in a few weeks.

Automatic Gain Control > Dramatically reduces or eliminates the possibility of overloading the mic input (distortion) or having gain set too low (inaudible voices). Gain is now set completely automatically, compensating for changes in the local environment (user shouts into mic, gain is lowered, whisper - gain is raised)

...so ...just to make sure I understand...is this improvement mostly meant for meeting attendees using VoIP? Or, does this also make it easier for a host using headset and microphone?

Hi, it will help both hosts and attendees.  Echo cancel improvements will benefit any PC user without a headset (host or attendees) while the automatic gain control will benefit users with or without a headset.

I have been attempting to use Fuse Meeting for almost a year, it never works for me, the audio and video never initialize.  I was hoping this plugin might fix this problem for my computer, but it hasn't.  I do not know who to speak with regarding why my audio and video never initialize when in a meeting.  I get the audio working by logging into Skype, but I also need the video, which doesn't work through skype.  Who do I speak with to help me through this, as this plugin didn't change anything for me either?  Thanks,
