We identified an issue with Mac customers who have an OS version that is earlier than 10.7 We are applying an update that will resolve this issue. For customers who are experiencing this issue, please re-install the Mac client after 12:00 p.m. PST on 01/09/2014 by going to https://www.fuzebox.com/download
In order to take advantage of some of the great new capabilities we've recently introduced, we strongly encourage users to update their Mac and PC Fuze applications. On January 10th, 2014, Fuze will mark the current Mac and PC applications as an "Optional Upgrade". After January 10th, users who log in or join a meeting with prior versions of the client will be prompted to install the latest version. The user may bypass this notification and continue without upgrading. Mac users will have the ability select a "don't show this again for 30 days". PC users will see the reminder each time they start Fuze.
Enterprise customers may avoid having their users see the upgrade message by pushing the latest version to users prior to January 10th.
In order to not see this upgrade, users will need to be on these versions:
PC version 13.12.05082 or later
Mac version 13.12.05289 or later
What about Mobile clients?Mobile clients (iPad, Android Tablet, Android phone) are upgraded via their stores. They are not included in the optional upgrade.
Can I turn off optional upgrades for my favorite customer? No, the only way to avoid this message is to ensure your clients are upgraded to the latest version of Fuze prior to January 10th.
Will the Outlook client also prompt? Older versions of the Outlook client did not prompt for upgrades. Users should manually install the latest version to overwrite the old version of Fuze.
Will all old versions of Fuze see this upgrade? Most newer versions will. Some very old versions of Fuze including our old App store version may not show the upgrade messages. These users will need to update manually by installing the latest client.
